Changing a Department
1. When you first enter the Department option a Select A Department window will appear listing all departments. The following information will also appear:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit the Department option and return to the Inventory menu.
- ADD – Select ADD to a department.
- PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print a list of departments defined in the system.
- A list of departments defined in the system. See Department for more information on each field. See Printing Department for more information on the department list display fields
Scroll to the Department you wish to change and press Enter to confirm your selection.
2. The data for that department will appear, along with command options:
- Change – Select Change to make changes to the department.
- Delete – Select Delete to delete the department
- Update – Select Update to save changes.
- Exit – Select Exit to exit without saving changes and return to the Select A Department window.
Select Change.
3. Use your arrow keys to navigate between fields. Make your changes. When finished, use the Tab, Page Down, Enter, or arrow keys to move through remaining fields.
Note: The department ID cannot be changed.
4. Command options will appear;
- Change – Select Change to make changes to the department.
- Delete – Select Delete to delete the department
- Update – Select Update to save changes.
- Exit – Select Exit to exit without saving changes and return to the Select A Department window.
Select Update. Your changes are now saved.
Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
